Patrick brings a unique blend of business development, technology, and financial experience to Rainmaker. He has worked in both new ventures and established firms, brought new products to market, built IT operations, and raised capital. Patrick works with Rainmaker’s clients on strategy and positioning, financial analysis, and due diligence. Prior to Rainmaker, Patrick spent 10 years working in finance and technology. He founded Motive Capital, an institutional brokerage and trading technology firm, and was VP, Operations for a systems integration firm serving the legal market. Previously he co-founded a wireless software startup where he led product development. For these companies as well as client firms, Patrick has been instrumental in the development and execution of business plans, presenting to the financial community, overseeing product development, and defining market strategy. Patrick started his career as a technology consultant in the government contracting industry. His relevant experience includes heading enterprise network design and deployment projects for the federal government, leading product development and strategy for a news portal, and managing application development teams. His hands-on experience with a broad range of technologies and developing new markets allows him to better understand our clients' needs and support them with product and market strategy.
